Our Approach to Headache Care
Every patient’s experience with headache and migraine is different. Dr. Hendon begins with a detailed evaluation to understand your symptoms, triggers, and treatment history before creating a personalized plan that may include:
Botox for chronic migraine to reduce headache frequency and improve function
Peripheral nerve block therapy to calm inflamed nerves contributing to head and neck pain
Myofascial trigger point injections to relieve muscle tension linked to headaches
Holistic and lifestyle support focused on posture, sleep, nutrition, and stress management
This integrated approach helps manage pain from multiple angles and promotes long-term improvement rather than temporary relief.
Botox is an evidence-based, physician-administered treatment used to prevent chronic migraine and recurring headache pain. It works by calming overactive pain pathways in the head and neck, helping to reduce both the frequency and severity of migraine attacks over time.
At Abbotsford Headache and Neurology Clinic, Dr. Natalie Hendon provides precise and compassionate care for patients living with chronic headaches. Each treatment plan is guided by neurological expertise and customized for your unique pattern of symptoms.
If headaches limit your daily activities or persist despite other treatments, Botox therapy may be an effective option to help you regain comfort and control.

New Patient & Follow Up Visits
-
Your initial appointment consists of a 45-75 minute consultation in which your history is reviewed extensively. Any available medical records will be reviewed prior to your visit as well as during your visit. A neurological exam will be performed to identify any areas of concern. After reviewing your history, your available medical records, and your examination findings, a diagnosis and treatment plan will be developed that will address your specific needs.
Please assist us by bringing the following to your visit:
List of current medications and doses
Any imaging or lab results (CT, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, etc.)
Completed patient intake forms, which you will receive either prior to your visit or at your visit.
-
A follow-up visit will last between 20-30 minutes and focus on any changes to your neurological condition since the last visit, a review of any imaging, lab, or neurodiagnostic testing results that have been performed since the last visit, and your response to any medication that has been prescribed. Your treatment plan will be updated to account for any changes and responses to medication, and a follow-up visit will be made if needed.
